Growing marijuana seeds at home are really easy and anyone can do it following few tips. But often people come across same problem while growing marijuana seeds and that is the branch shooting into two from the point where the stem and leaf joins together. This uncontrollable growth is not good for marijuana seeds and can easily be taken care of by pruning.

Pruning is a good way to control such problems and at the same time it does not affect the plant as well. Young marijuana seeds should not be pruned. One has to wait for the vegetation stage of the marijuana seeds to begin before starting off with pruning.

The growing tips of the marijuana seeds have the best potency and the kind of smoke they produce after 3 months is amazing. During the development of marijuana seeds, one can easily prune it anytime but it has to be kept in mind that just like overdoing of anything is bad, similarly pruning excessively would also not be too good for marijuana seeds. Make a strategy on how and when to prune your marijuana seeds at different stages of their growth.

It takes the plant some time to recover from the loss of growing tip and thus that much time should be provided for it to grow. Growth largely depends upon the environment marijuana seeds are provided with and also to the climatic conditions. The seeds need at least 8 hours of sunlight which portray largely how good or bad the growth would be. Also what quality of marijuana seeds you have cultivated, also helps in determining the end results.

Pruning should always be done during the early development stages and once the vegetative stage starts ending. This may also be done once the flowering starts taking place. All new nodes should not be pruned. Instead it is recommended to prune the third node that develops. For pruning even the scissors should not be too big.

While flowering if you will prune your female buds, the harvest will go down tremendously. In case you have cannabis indica, don’t prune too much as it does not require pruning as much as cannabis sativa requires. Always the tallest branch should be pruned. This way the rest of the branches get enough space to grow. All the dying leaves should also be removed but remember that healthy leaves need to stay back.

The basis of good marijuana plantation is good marijuana seeds. The next is the kind of soil you employ to seed them, pots of right sizes in case you have decided to grow it indoors and definitely a good amount of light which should be provided through yellow bulbs in case of indoor cropping.

If you want a healthy crop, it is advised to soak the marijuana seeds in water overnight prior to planting them. A good fertilized soil too is a must and watering the soil is what does the miracles for marijuana seeds. A bulb of 400 watt works well. But never employ a white bulb.

One square meter of the plant should get light from one 400 watt bulb. This ratio should be kept in mind while providing light inside the house. One square meter o plants may be equivalent to around 24- 25 plants. The light should neither be too close to the plant nor too far. The walls of the room should be painted in white to reflect the light also if possible the walls should be coated with aluminum foil which works wonders for the marijuana seeds. Not only it will help in greater reflectivity of light but the temperature inside the room will also be maintained.

The right temperature for growing marijuana seeds is somewhere in between 27-30 degrees that is why it is preferred to plant the marijuana seeds in the month of April or early May in order to get the desired temperature if planted outdoors. If you are doing it indoors inside a cabinet, the temperature will surely shoot up and thus a small ventilation is needed which you can easily provide by cutting a small vent.

Good growth of marijuana seeds is not difficult to have once your soil is correct and you have initially only provided the soli with the desired nutrients. However, if it is possible, the ph value should be monitored to get the best possible results.

Some other important tips for a good crop out of marijuana seeds are:

  • Once a day watering is a must but don’t over water the plants as well else the growth will suffer.
  • The seeds should be provided with high nitrogen content during vegetation and while flowering stage low nitrogen diet should be supplemented to the marijuana seeds.
  • Don’t allow any light during dark period. However if you want more of females, try to put in an hour of light during the dark timing.

Trim the dry leaves and prune the tips occasionally to give space for the smaller branches to grow.
